Proton decay from quark and lepton compositeness

چکیده

A bstract Within a chiral SU(15) gauge theory in which the Standard Model fermions are bound states of massless preons, we show that proton-decay operators likely induced at compositeness scale, Λ pre . Our estimate limit imposed by searches for proton decays is > 10 4 TeV 1 / 2 $$ {C}_8^{1/4}\ {m}_{\mathcal{Q}}^{1/2} C 8 1 / 4 m Q 2 , where C 8 rescaled coefficient an 8-prebaryon operator dynamics, and {m}_{\mathcal{Q}} mass composite vectorlike quark. The latter has lower related to lepton, turn required LHC be above TeV. For − 5 – range, on varies between 3 × We point out exotic decay modes, into π + heavy right-handed neutrino, could observed using Super-Kamiokande or DUNE detectors.
